One Dead, Two Injured in Lake Forest Crash

The accident occurred Oct. 10 on Route 41 just north of Westleigh Road.

Police are investigating a Thursday morning crash that killed one person and injured two others in Lake Forest.

Lake Forest police said officers and paramedics responded to a single-car crash at 2:35 a.m. Oct. 10 after a four-door sedan traveling north on Route 41 left the highway at a bend in the road, struck several trees and rolled over north of Westleigh Road. 

Paramedics determined one of the occupants had died. The other two occupants were transported to area hospitals and are expected to survive, according to the police department. All three occupants of the vehicle were male. Authorities are working to identify them, police said. The identity of the person who died will be released by the Lake County Coroner’s office after his family is notified, police said.
