Police Blotter: Aggravated DUI, Underage Drinking

The following arrest information was supplied by the Libertyville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Aggravated DUI

Jeremy D. Dick, 35, 350 S. Slousser, Grayslake, was charged Aug. 17 with aggravated DUI, a felony charge, after police saw Dick crossing over the center line and swerving several times on North Milwaukee Avenue. Due to two prior DUI charges, Dick was charged with a felony charge and his vehicle was seized under state law. He was held for a bond hearing the following morning.

Erica A. Capparelli, 23, of 220 Nippersink Rd., Round Lake, was charged Aug. 14 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content level over .08, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, operating uninsured vehicle. Police officers responded to the sound of a collision and glass shattering in the Lake Street Parking Garage, 151 Lake Street, and found Capparelli driving her vehicle back and forth in the lower level of the garage. After processing, Capparelli was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Sept. 2 court date in Waukegan.

Teresa B. O’Brien, 54, 14141 W. Bradford Ct., Green Oaks, was charged Aug. 19 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content level over .08, and speeding. She was later released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Sept. 30 court date in Waukegan.

Eldon R. Hiebert, 46, 145 Chanel Dr., Huntsville. AL, was charged Aug. 20 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content level over .08, operating uninsured vehicle and sppeding. He was later released after signing a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Sept. 30 court date in Waukegan.

Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor

Ryan M. Copeland, 18, 17483 W. Casey Rd., was charged Aug. 15 with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was later released on a $120 personal recognizance bond to his parents’ custody and issued a Sept. 14 court date in Mundelein.

14 Charged with Underaged Drinking

Libertyville police charged 14 minors with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor on Aug. 15.

Police responded to a report of a large group of intoxicated minors inside McDonalds, 1330 N. Milwaukee Ave., and identified 18 minors ages 17 to 19 years who showed signs of alcohol consumption. The minors were given portable breathalyzer tests and 14 tested positive for alcohol and were issued citations for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. Those under 18 years old were released to their parents and issued a Sept. 14 court date in Mundelein. Two 18-year-olds, Danielle N. Sulkowski, 1275 Oak Trail Dr., and Meghan E. Formento, 1812 Joselyn Ct., were charged and they along with one other juvenil were issued a Sept. 28 court date in Mundelein.

Driving Mishaps

Jose H. Avila-Gonzalez, 27, 600 McKinley Ave., #109, Mundelein, was charged Aug. 16 with driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was later released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Sept. 14 court date in Mundelein.

Luis Armando Juarez-Villalobos, 20, 65 Monterrey Dr., Vernon Hills, was charged Aug. 18 with driving while license suspended, operation of vehicle with suspended registration and improper display of license plate. He was later released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Sept. 14 court date in Mundelein.

Edsel A. Mejia, 24, 1319 W. End Dr., Round Lake Beach, was charged Aug. 20 with driving while license suspended and operating vehicle with only one taillight. She was later released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Sept. 14 court date in Mundelein.
