Police Blotter: Alcohol Arrests; Vehicles Burglarized

These arrests were from August 2012. The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests and crimes from Aug. 18-26.

Alcohol

Four 19-year-old Libertyville residents were charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor Aug. 20 near Lake Street and Hillcrest Drive. Arrested were: Colleen E. Althoff of 416 Meadow Lane; Patrick M. Klein of 2311 W. Steeplechase Circle; Jennifer E. Benson of 1212 E. St. James Place; and Kyle S. Raylinson of 920 Cambridge Drive. All were released pending a Sept. 12 court date.

Richard N. Bush, 25, of 26365 N. Elmwood Ave., Mundelein, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Aug. 21 near Route 176 and Ashbury Lane. Police responded to a citizen's complaint about a drunk driver. Bush was also cited for improper lane usage. He was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Sept. 21 court date.

Timothy R. Dorl, 27, of 908 Abingdon Court, Gurnee, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Aug. 22 on South Milwaukee Avenue between Route 176 and Rockland Road. Police said he was seen driving in the center of the two southbound lanes. He was also cited for improper lane usage. He was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 1 court date.

Gregory Allen Parsell, 41, of 7701 Geneva Drive, Gurnee, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Aug. 24 near Milwaukee and Appley Avenues. He was also cited for making an improper left turn after police said he failed to yield the right-of-way at an intersection by turning in front of traffic when the light turned green. He was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Sept. 14 court date.

Richard Madole, 47, of 251 Harding Ave., Libertyville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Aug. 26 near Brainerd Avenue and Church Street. He was also cited for DUI over .08, disobeying a stop sign and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released after posting his drivers license and a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Sept. 14 court date.

Traffic

Savanah Laws, 29, of 2918 N. 17th St., Milwaukee, WI, was charged with not having a valid drivers license Aug. 20 near Milwaukee and McKinley Avenues. She was also cited for not having valid registration, displaying a temporary registration permit not authorized for such vehicle and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Sept. 12 court date.

Irving M. Solomon, 59, of 5101 N. East River Road M1, Chicago, was charged with driving while license suspended Aug. 25 near Route 176 and Milwaukee Avenue. He was also cited for improper lane usage and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Sept. 12 court date.

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

A resident reported Aug. 20 that someone stole a 32 GB iPod, Ray-Ban sunglasses and a wallet from a vehicle on the 1400 block of Annie Lane over the weekend. The vehicle was unlocked at the time.

An individual reported Aug. 21 that an airbag was stolen from a locked 2012 GMC Acadia while it was parked in the dealership lot at 1120 S. Milwaukee Ave. The airbag was valued at $2,000.

An individual reported Aug. 23 that someone broke the rear passenger window of a vehicle parked in the Metra commuter lot, 200 Lake St., and took a maroon leather briefcase valued at $140. The briefcase contained only paperwork.

A resident reported Aug. 24 that someone entered his vehicle overnight while it was parked on the 1100 block of Kristin Lane and took a wallet. The wallet contained $149 in cash, an American Express card, an Associated Bank debit card, a Sam's Club card, a Costco card and a drivers license.
