Police Blotter: Alcohol, Criminal Trespass Arrests

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests from Dec. 25 through Jan. 4.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

Luis Alfredo Martinez Campos, 23, of 909 8th St. No. 2, Waukegan, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Dec. 30 near Park Avenue and Butterfield Road. He was also cited for DUI over .08, not having a valid drivers license, improper lane usage and disobeying a stop sign. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 31 court date.

Criminal Trespass

Robert E. Nelson, 43, of 440 Slusser, Grayslake, was charged with criminal trespass to real property Jan. 4 at the Libertyville Metra Station. Police said he was found sleeping inside the train station, even though a no trespass warning had been issued to Nelson in March 2013. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 27 court date.

Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid Accident

Jessica L. Cervantes, 22, of 3118 N. Francisco, Chicago, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident Dec. 25 near Route 45 and Peterson Road. Police were called to the scene on a report of a stranded motorist. Cervantes was also cited for driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI over .08 and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 24 court date.
