Police Blotter: Alcohol, Traffic Arrests

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests from April 24-29.

Alcohol

Several individuals were cited with alcohol-related offenses after a traffic stop April 26 on South Milwaukee Avenue. Those arrested included: Tom A. Alexander, 26, of 1821 Greenfield Ave., North Chicago, charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and speeding; Darias M. Obryant, 20, of 2303 Krisman St., North Chicago, charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and illegal transportation of alcohol; Tucker Cortez, 21, of 1112 Lincoln, North Chicago, charged with illegal transportation of alcohol and resisting and obstructing a peace officer; and Ebony Herrod, 20, of 39178 Welsh Lane, Beach Park, charged with illegal transportation of alcohol and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Each was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a May 7 court date. A 17-year-old individual was referred to juvenile court on an illegal transportation of alcohol charge.

Traffic

Carlos Diego Rojas Moreno, 28, of 16255 W. Buckley Road, Libertyville, was charged with not having a valid driver’s license April 24 near Winchester Road and Technology Way. He also was cited with speeding. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a May 9 court date.

Larry King, III, 57, of 540 East 36, Chicago, was charged with driving while license suspended April 27. Police said he was seen repeatedly driving across the dotted white lines in his lane of traffic. He also was cited with improper lane use. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a June 13 court date.

Paul Belcher, 29, of 159 Woodlake Blvd., No. 1108, Gurnee, was charged with driving while license suspended April 28 on School Street. He also was cited with driving in the wrong direction on a one-way street. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a May 23 court date.
