Police Blotter: Alcohol, Traffic Arrests

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests from Feb. 5-11.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

Lora C. Daley, 39, of 787 Dillon Court, Grayslake, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Feb. 9 near Route 176 and Dawes Street. She was also cited for DUI over .08 and improper turn at intersection. She was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a March 8 court date.

Daniel P. Sellers, 25, of 207 E. Ellis Ave., Libertyville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Feb. 10 on the 900 block of Springhaven Drive. Police responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident; the vehicle, police said, had gone off the road and hit a tree. Sellers was cited for DUI over .08, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to drive on right side of roadway. He was released on his drivers license and a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a March 15 court date.

Traffic

Noe I. Escutia, 19, of 527 N. Poplar Unit 2, Waukegan, was charged with not having a valid drivers license Feb. 5 on the 1000 block of Technology Way. He was also cited for speeding. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a March 13 court date.

Andres Abundes, 23, of 619 W. Park Ave. Unit D, Libertyville, was charged with driving while license suspended Feb. 11 on Brainerd Avenue near Church Street. He was also cited for having expired vehicle registration and an equipment violation. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a March 13 court date.
