Police Blotter: Alcohol, Traffic Arrests

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests from Feb. 24 through March 3.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

Rogelio Martinez-Lara, 32, of 627 Meadows Blvd. Unit 2C, Addison, was charged with two counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol March 3 near Milwaukee Avenue and Condell Drive. He was also cited for driving while license revoked, obstruction of identification, speeding and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was remanded on $30,000 bond.

Traffic

Danielle A. Barbour, 23, of 277 Oak Ridge Court No. 302, Antioch, was charged with driving while license suspended Feb. 24 at Walgreens, 1770 N. Milwaukee Ave. Police said a concerned citizen informed them about an unattended child in an unlocked vehicle in the Walgreens parking lot. Barbour was also cited for disorderly conduct, assault and resisting a peace officer. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a March 6 court date.

Jorge Soriano Gomez, 37, of 544 May St. No. 2, Waukegan, was charged with not having a valid drivers license Feb. 25 on Butterfield Road near Pine Tree Lane. He was also cited for speeding. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a March 13 court date.

Jessica Acosta, 21, of 2724 Ezekiel Ave., Zion, was charged with driving while license suspended March 2 on the 1000 block of South Milwaukee Avenue. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an April 17 court date.

Brenda Valero, 19, of 1400 Barnhart Court, Zion, was charged with driving while license suspended March 2 near Milwaukee and Newberry Avenues. She was also cited for disregarding a traffic control device. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an April 10 court date.

Warrant

Joann J. Marqui, 46, of 720 S. Butterfield Road, Libertyville, was arrested March 2 at her residence on a Lake County Sheriff's Office warrant for retail theft. She was released on $1,000 cash bond pending a March 20 court date.
