Police Blotter: Alcohol, Traffic Arrests

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests from Feb. 11-17.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

William W. Meyer, III, 58, of 163 Brookhill Road, Libertyville, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, a Class 4 felony, Feb. 11 at McDonald's, 1330 N. Milwaukee Ave. Police said upon arrival at McDonald's, they found Meyer's vehicle in the drive-thru, pinned against the exterior wall of the building. He was also cited for aggravated driving while license revoked - a Class 4 felony, aggravated DUI - third DUI - a Class 4 felony, open transportation of alcohol and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was remanded on $50,000 bond pending a March 8 court date.

Traffic

Eduardo A. Hernandez, 20, of 310 E. Hawthorn Blvd., Mundelein, was charged with not having a valid drivers license Feb. 14 near Routes 45 and 137. He was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He as released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a March 20 court date.

Craig C. Beringer-Kalamay, 20, of 300 W. Maple Ave. No. 212, Mundelein, was charged with driving while license suspended Feb. 14 near Routes 45 and 137. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a March 20 court date.

Isa Guevara-Pantoja, 30, of 950 Cherry Valley Road No. 305, Vernon Hills, was charged with driving while license suspended Feb. 15 near Route 176 and Milwaukee Avenue. He was also cited for improper lane usage. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a March 20 court date.

Christina C. Goss, 40, of 37283 N. Parma Ave., Lake Villa, was charged with driving while license suspended Feb. 15 on the 400 block of South Milwaukee Avenue. She was also cited for possession of a controlled substance and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was transported to a bond hearing.

Otto Coleman, 49, of 1005 W. Glen Flora No. 4, Waukegan, was charged with not having a valid drivers license Feb. 16 near Route 137 and Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a March 13 court date.

Gina L. Smith, 52, of 201 W. Rockland Road, Libertyville, was charged with driving while license suspended Feb. 17 on the 200 block of West Rockland Road. She was also cited for having suspended registration for non-insurance and not having a rear registration light. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending an April 10 court date.
