Police Blotter: Alcohol, Traffic, Warrant Arrests

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests from Sept. 9-16.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

Corinne E. Montgomery, 23, of 928 Warwick St., Libertyville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Sept. 9. Police said she failed to stop at three stop signs. She was also cited for DUI over .08 and disregarding a traffic control light. She was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 10 court date.

Jacek Korol, 52, of 1513 Old Barn Circle, Libertyville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Sept. 14 on Old Barn Circle. He was also cited for failure to yield turning left and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on his drivers license and a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Sept. 28 court date.

Pedro F. Gonzalez, 23, of 116 W. Austin Ave. No. 1A, Libertyville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Sept. 16 on Milwaukee Avenue near McKinley Avenue. He was also cited for not having a valid drivers license and improper lane usage. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 26 court date.

Drugs

Amanda C. Auld, 19, of 315 Balmoral Drive, Mundelein, was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia Sept. 13. Police said another driver saw her asleep at an intersection. She was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center. She was also charged with driving while license suspended and disobeying a traffic control device. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Sept. 24 court date.

Thomas N. Madden, 24, of 38610 N. Hilltop, Antioch, was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia Sept. 15 at the Holiday Inn Express, 77 Buckley Road. He was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 10 court date.

Traffic

Fernando Castro-Robles, 22, of 1610 Park Drive, Round Lake Beach, was charged with driving while license suspended Sept. 10 on Merrill Court near West Ellis Avenue. He was also cited for speeding. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 17 court date.

Michael G. Rushing, 44, of 551 W. Park Ave. No. 1, Libertyville, was charged with driving while license suspended Sept. 11 on Park Avenue near Blueberry Road. He was also cited for operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 10 court date.

Linda Yasmin Garcia-Guadaramma, 24, of 1521 Hamilton Court, Waukegan, was charged with not having a valid drivers license Sept. 11 on Route 45 near USG Drive. She was also cited for speeding. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 10 court date.

Michael Maravilla Morales, 18, of 604 McKinley Ave., Mundelein, was charged with not having a valid drivers license Sept. 14 on Peterson Road east of Butterfield Road. He was also cited for speeding, operating an uninsured vehicle, having expired vehicle registration and unlawful display of license. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 10 court date. A passenger in the vehicle—Eulalio Maravilla Morales, 25, of 604 McKinley Ave., Mundelein—gave a fictitious name and claimed to be the owner of the vehicle, police said. Police determined that Eulalio Maravilla Morales was wanted on warrants from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and the Palatine Police Department. He was also cited for obstructing identification and attempted obstructing justice. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond for the Libertyville charges pending a Sept. 24 court date. He posted $575 on the Palatine warrant and was transported to the Lake County Jail on the Lake County warrant.

Alfredo Martinez, 20, of 533 Archer Ave., Waukegan, was charged with not having a valid drivers license Sept. 14 on Route 176 near Milwaukee Avenue. He was also cited for improper overtaking on left and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 17 court date.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

Freda Yvonne Hawkins, 37, of 2941 Park Terrace, Rockford, was charged with burglary to motor vehicle Sept. 15 near Broadway and First Streets. Police said they were called to the scene for a motor vehicle burglary in process with witnesses chasing the offender. Hawkins was found hiding under some nearby bushes. She was transported to the Lake County Jail to await a bond hearing.

Warrant

Ismael Santant, Jr., 25, of 812 Indiana St., Waukegan, was arrested Sept. 16 on a Cook County warrant. He was released on the warrant after posting $100 cash bond. He was also cited for driving while license suspended, improper lane usage and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 14 court date.
