Police Blotter: Battery, Alcohol Arrests

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests from Sept. 20-23.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Theft

Juan A. Padilla, 19, of 1051 S. Normandy Road, Waukegan, was charged with theft Sept. 20 on the 700 block of Milwaukee Avenue. Police said he allegedly stole an iPhone from an office where he was delivering fliers. Police said the victim had left the iPhone unattended while she went to get a cup of coffee. Padilla was released on a personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 17 court date.

Alcohol

Christopher R. Lazzaretto, 26, of 219 Harding Ave., Libertyville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Sept. 21. Police said he was seen driving on the wrong side of the road and police attempted to stop him on Sunnyside Drive near Milwaukee Avenue. Police said the vehicle continued east until it jumped a curb. He was also charged with having an expired drivers license and improper lane usage. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 2 court date.

Matthew C. Sriver, 39, of 1314 Brookdale, Carpentersville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Sept. 22 after police responded to an accident on the 1000 block of Tamarack Lane. He was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane usage. He was released on his drivers license and a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 5 court date.

Traffic

Juan Antonio Avila Ordaz, 45, of 919 Wadsworth Ave., Waukegan, was charged with driving while license revoked Sept. 21 near Milwaukee Avenue and Artaius Parkway. Police said he was seen driving through a red light at the intersection. He was also cited for disregarding a traffic control device. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 16 court date.

Battery

Hector Munoz-Torres, 25, of 57 S. Chicago Ave., Mundelein, was charged with battery Sept. 22 when police responded to a fight in progress at the Rancho Grande Restaurant, 513 S. Park Ave. He was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 14 court date.

Jordan P. Kramer, 27, of 31127 Prairie Ridge Road, Carpentersville, was charged with battery Sept. 23 at Tommy's Bar, 137 Lake St. Police said he was involved in a fight. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 1 court date.

Retail Theft

Anthony W. Lindquist, 44, of 1140 Magnolia Lane, Libertyville, was charged with retail theft Sept. 22 at Jewel-Osco, 1300 S. Milwaukee Ave. Police said a customer saw him leave the store without paying for a case of beer. He was released on a $150 cash bond pending an Oct. 2 court date.
