Police Blotter: Broken Flowerpot, DUI

The following arrest information was supplied by the Libertyville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Broken flowerpot at downtown store

The owner of , 543 N. Milwaukee Ave., reported July 15 that a large clay flowerpot, kept just outside the store entrance, was broken the night before. No estimate of loss was listed in the report.

Jose Emmanuel Ramirez-Alpizar, 29, 55 S. Shaddle, Apt. 203, Mundelein, was charged July 12 with driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid driver’s license, no valid registration, improper lane usage. He later was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued an Aug. 12 court date in Waukegan.

Yessica A. Alvarez, 21, 553 W. Park Ave., was charged July 14 with driving while license suspended and improper overtaking on the left. Police observed her attempting to make a left turn from westbound Route 176 onto southbound Butterfield Road. She later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued an Aug. 10 court date in Mundelein.

Carlos Moreno-Duran, 36, 33 N. Jackson St., Apt. 2, Waukegan, was charged July 14 with driving without a valid driver’s license and improper lane use. Police observed him driving on the median as he attempted to make a left turn from westbound Route 176 onto southbound Milwaukee Avenue. He later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued an Aug. 24 court date in Mundelein.

Natalia Casillas, 20, 8137 S. Boulder Court, Long Grove, was charged July 15 with driving without a valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured vehicle and improper overtaking on the left. Police observed her driving in the wrong lane as she attempted to make a left turn from westbound Route 176 onto southbound Butterfield Road. She later was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond and issued an Aug. 10 court date in Mundelein.

Joaquin Mata-Herrera, 23, 26265 N. Highway 83, Lot 58, Mundelein, was charged July 16 with driving without a valid driver’s license, and no rear registration light. He later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued an Aug. 10 court date in Mundelein.

Driving vehicle without permission

Amber C. Kemen, 22, 412 N. California, Mundelein, was charged July 12 with criminal trespass to motor vehicle at Tommy’s Pizza, 137 Lake St. Kemen later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a July 27 court date in Waukegan.
