Police Blotter: Burglary at Libertyville Toyota, Pizza Man Robbed

The following arrest information was supplied by the Libertyville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary at Libertyville Toyota

A safe was broken into at Libertyville Toyota, 1180 S. Milwaukee Ave., on Oct. 29. Offenders entered the dealership by unknown means, cut the safe open with a Sawzall-type tool and took some $5,800 in currency. The damage to the safe was estimated at $500. Police are still investigating the burglary.

Pizza Delivery Man Robbed

On Oct. 31, police were called to the 1900 block of Halifax Street on a report of two males pushing a pizza delivery person to the ground and stealing a large pizza. The offenders were both dressed in black wearing skull masks to conceal their faces. The delivery person sustained a minor injury to the head when pushed to the sidewalk but refused medical attention.

Disorderly Conduct

Aswad T. Pickens, 34, of 625 Smith Ave., Lake Bluff, was charged Oct. 31 with disorderly conduct after he showed a lewd photo of himself to an employee at a business in the 300 block of North Milwaukee Avenue. He was arrested and later was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond and issued a Nov. 14 court date in Waukegan.

Driving Mishaps

Jose Guadalupe Mangato-Jacinto, 31, of 555 Deepwoods Ave., Mundelein, was charged Oct. 30 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood- alcohol content level over .08, driving without a valid driver’s license and improper lane use.

Michael S. Wardlow, 40, of 1631 N. Broadway, Melrose Park, was charged Nov. 3 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol content level over .08, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper turn at intersection. He later was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Nov. 18 court date in Waukegan.

Karyn Laroi, 23, of 1716 Eric Lane, Libertyville, was charged Nov. 5 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol content level over .08 and disregarding a traffic-control device. She later was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Dec. 30 court date in Waukegan.

Ivan Pena Martinez, 23, of 2166 N. Oakbrook Circle, Palatine, was charged Nov. 2 with driving while license suspended. He later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a Dec. 14 court date in Mundelein.
