Police Blotter: Burglary, Brick Thrown on Car

The following arrest information was supplied by the Libertyville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary to Home

A resident in the 1100 block of Kristin Drive returned home Sept. 6 to find that his home had been burglarized while he was gone for the weekend. Two exterior doors had been pried open to gain access. A number of closets, drawers and jewelry boxes were ransacked. The homeowner will compile a list of missing items for police.

Brick Thrown at Car

Between 10 p.m. Sept. 5 and 9 a.m., Sept. 6 a brick was thrown at a resident’s vehicle in the 500 block of West Park Avenue. The brick shattered the windshield. No damage estimate was listed.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

A resident in the 600 block of Hillcrest Drive reported Sept. 11 that an unknown person entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway and stole a change purse containing $5 in coins.

Disorderly Conduct

Ryan S. Maccallum, 34, 201 E. Cook Ave., No. 313, Libertyville, was charged Sept. 8 with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Maccallum refused to leave Morgan’s Bar and Grill, 532 N. Milwaukee Ave. and police later found him outside. He later was released on a personal recognizance bond and was issued a Sept. 28 court date in Mundelein.

Driving Mishaps

Mario Salgado-Vargas, 40, 613 McKinley, Mundelein, Ave., was charged Sept. 11 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol content over .08, driving while license suspended, no insurance and improper lane use. He later was released after signing a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and was issued a Sept. 30 court date in Waukegan.

Sahar Homedi, 51, 7037 N. Kilpatrick Ave., Lincolnwood, was charged Sept. 9 with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use. She later was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond and was issued a Sept. 30 court date in Waukegan.

Luis Chanel Vargas Flores, 23, 1506 10th St., Waukegan, was charged Sept. 10 with driving while license suspended, no insurance and speeding. He later was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond and was issued an Oct. 12 court date in Mundelein.

Marcos Antonio Paz Martinez, 18, 19925 Illinois St., Mundelein, was charged Sept. 5 with driving without a valid driver’s license, no insurance, expired registration. He was later released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and was issued an Oct. 12 court date in Mundelein.

Roberto Rocha-Maravilla, 36, 45 Perry Ave., Mundelein, was charged Sept. 4 with driving without a valid driver’s license, no insurance, obstructing identification and speeding. He later was released after signing a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and was issued a Sept. 14 court date in Waukegan.
