Police Blotter: Burglary to Car at Sports Complex

The following arrest information was supplied by the Libertyville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Credit Card Stolen, Used to Buy Electronics

On Nov. 15, the front passenger window of a vehicle parked in the lot of the Libertyville Sports Complex, 1850 N. U,S, Route 45, was broken. The owner of the vehicle, a Crystal Lake resident, reported that her purse was missing from the vehicle. Further investigation revealed the victim’s credit cards were used at an area store where electronics were purchased. Police are investigating the incident.

Michael Deram, 21, of 1125 Crestfield Ave., Libertyville, was charged Nov. 15 with domestic battery and unlawful interference with reporting of domestic violence. Police responded to a report of an argument between two family members in the 1100 block of Crestfield Avenue on Nov. 15. According to police, their investigation revealed that during the argument, Deram threw a lit cigarette, striking the family member in the face. The family member tried to call the police, but Deram prevented the call by hanging up the phone. The family member was not injured. Deram later was remanded to the Lake County Jail on a $5,000 bond and issued a Nov. 22 court date in Waukegan.

James M. Girardo, 25, of 422 Broadway Ave., Libertyville, was charged Nov. 13 with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use. He later was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Dec. 23 court date in Waukegan.

Driving Mishaps

Ernesto I Hernandez-Balbandeda, 21, of 19421 W. Hoag Ct., Mundelein, was charged Nov. 15 with driving without headlights when required and no valid driver’s license. He later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a Dec. 14 court date in Mundelein.

Heriberto Zavala-Fuentes, 26, of 521 County St., Waukegan, was charged Nov. 17 with speeding and driving on a suspended license. He later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a Dec. 28 court date in Mundelein.

Pedro J. Cruz-Duarte, 22, of 164 W. Chariot Court, Wheeling, was charged Nov. 17 with speeding and driving without a valid driver’s license. He later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a Dec. 28 court date in Mundelein.

Mateo Zarate-Gonzales, 37, of 611 Elmwood Ave., Waukegan, was charged Nov. 18 with making an improper turn, no valid driver’s license, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. He later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a Dec. 28 court date in Mundelein.

Oscar Mata-Morales, 28, of 600 McKinley St., Apartment 301, Mundelein, was charged Nov. 18 with disobeying a traffic-control signal, no valid driver’s license, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a Dec. 28 court date in Mundelein.

Jonatan Martinez-Morales, 19, of 131 W. Ellis Ave., Apartment 17, Libertyville, was charged Nov. 19 with no valid driver’s license and speeding. He later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a Dec. 14 court date in Mundelein.
