Police Blotter: Chair on Fire; Alcohol Arrests

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests and crimes.

Alcohol

Diane M. Harvey, 59, of 1615 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol June 24. She was also cited for DUI with a blood alcohol content over .08 and improper lane usage. She was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 3 court date.

Two individuals were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor June 26 after police responded to a report of suspicious people in the rear parking lot of the Libertyville Fire Department, 1551 N. Milwaukee Ave. Arrested were: William R. Stock, 19, of 433 Meadow, Libertyville, and John R Luehrsen, 19, of 312 W. Lincoln Ave., Libertyville. They were each released on $120 bond pending a July 19 court date.

Two individuals were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor June 28 on Route 176 just east of Milwaukee Avenue. Arrested were 19-year-olds Michael C. Kolb, 923 Mayfair Drive, Libertyville, and Jack F. Butler, 254 North Trail, Hawthorn Woods. Kolb was also cited for illegal transportation of alcohol, while Butler was also charged with unlawful possession of a fraudulent ID card. Both were released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a July 9 court date. The driver of the vehicle was cited for speeding.

Micah R. Strong, 20, of 1677 Cedar Glen Drive, Libertyville, was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor July 1 on the 400 block of South Milwaukee Avenue. Police found him laying in a parking lot with a bicycle next to him. He was also cited for possession of a fraudulent ID. He was released on a personal recognizance bond pending a July 18 court date.

Traffic

Maria Del Pech-Uc, 50, of 927 S. Green Bay Road, Waukegan, was charged with not having a valid driver's license June 26 near Second Street and Appley Avenue. She was also cited for operating an uninsured vehicle and disregarding a stop sign. She was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 15 court date.

Enio Salgado, 34, of 247 Longwood Terrace, Mundelein, was charged with driving while license revoked June 28 on Butterfield Road near Golf Road. He was also cited for operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 8 court date.

Burglary to Auto

A resident on the 200 block of Hawthorne Road reported June 25 that someone entered their vehicle and took a wallet from a purse on the driver's seat. Described as a brown and tan Gucci wallet, it contained a driver's license, student ID, credit cards and $20. The vehicle was not locked.

A Fox Lake resident reported June 26 that someone removed her iPod and the attached wireless transmitter from her vehicle when she went inside a gas station on the 1000 block of East Park Avenue to pay for gas. The items were valued at $380.

A resident on the 500 block of Poplar Court reported June 26 that someone entered his vehicle took two golf clubs from his golf bag. The Taylor Made clubs were valued at $500. The vehicle was unlocked.

Fire in Roadway

Police were called to South Butterfield Road near Fairlawn Avenue June 29 on a report of a fire on the roadway. Police found a large chair engulfed in flames in the middle of the road. The fire was extinguished by Libertyville firefighters.
