Police Blotter: Damaged Autos, Burglary, Battery

The following arrest information was supplied by the Libertyville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Criminal Damage To Autos

The owners of three vehicles parked in the east lot of the Moraine East Apartment complex, 832 N. Milwaukee Ave., reported that their windshields were shattered during the night of June 24. A baseball bat-type object appeared to have caused the damage. Police are investigating; no damage estimates were given.

Criminal Damage To Property

A large flowerpot was destroyed and another large white flowerpot and a black exterior light were stolen during the night of June 24 from Bottaio Restaurant, 946 N. Milwaukee Ave. The loss is estimated at $2,000.

Burglary

A window in a door on the northwest side of Highland Middle School, 310 W. Rockland Road, was broken out on June 25. School officials say it appears that nothing was taken but wished to pursue charges should police locate the offenders.

Battery

Matthew J. Padour, 29, 1505 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, was charged June 19 with battery after police saw him strike a nearby person in the jaw near Lake Street and Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a July 5 court date in Waukegan.

Driving-Related Charges

Griselda M. Aguayo, 26, 519 Cummings Ave., Waukegan, was charged June 20 with driving while license suspended and speeding on South Milwaukee Avenue near Valley Park Drive. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a July 27 court date in Mundelein.

Julio E. Sandoval, 39, 256 Southwick Court, Vernon Hills, was charged June 24 with driving while license revoked, driving without proper lights, no rear registration light near Milwaukee and Park avenues. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a July 13 court date in Mundelein.

Evan A. Swierad, 27, 2300 Bluebird Lane, Rolling Meadows, was charged June 24 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or more, improper lane usage in the 800 block of South Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a July 15 court date in Waukegan.

Jienny G. Corona, 35, 327 Walnut St., Apt. 114, Mundelein, was charged June 26 with driving while license suspended and improper lane usage. Police observed her crossing onto a double-yellow lane divider on Milwaukee Avenue near Newberry Avenue. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a July 13 court date in Mundelein.

Underage Drinking

Vontrae Q. Tucker-Shead, 19, 743 N. Milwaukee Ave., Apt. B, Libertyville, and Devin K. Miller, 19, 31 French Court, Mundelein, were both charged June 25 with unlawful consumption of alcohol near Maple and Stewart avenues. They were both released on individual $1,500 personal recognizance bonds and issued a July 6 court date in Waukegan.

Brian E. Saam, 18, 1007 S. Garfield Ave., Libertyville, was charged June 26 with unlawful consumption of alcohol on Golf Road near Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond and issued a July 13 court date in Mundelein.
