Police Blotter: Disorderly Conduct, Drug and Warrant Arrests

The Vernon Hills Police Department reports arrests from Jan. 15-18.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Alcohol

Michael K. Brobst, 33, of 410 Courtland, Mundelein, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Jan. 18 at Hawthorn Mall, 122 Hawthorn Center. He was also cited for leaving the scene of a property damage accident and speeding. He was released on a $3,000 recognizance bond pending a Feb. 19 court date.

Disorderly Conduct

Benjamin Clark Larson, 27, of 752 Leah Lane No. 6, Woodstock, was charged with disorderly conduct Jan. 16 at Icing, 619 Hawthorn Center. He was released on a notice to appear in court Feb. 13.

Drugs

A 13-year-old boy was charged with possession of cannabis Jan. 15 at Hawthorn Middle School North, 201 W. Hawthorn Pkwy. He was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a notice to appear in court Feb. 13.
 
A 17-year-old boy was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia Jan. 15 on the 700 block of Court of Birch. He was released on a notice to appear in court Feb. 13. 

Kristopher R. Hall, 31, of 23631 Raleigh Drive, Prairieview, was charged with possession of cannabis Jan. 18 near Sullivan and Deerpath Drives. He was released on a $1,500 recognizance bond pending a Feb. 10 court date.

Retail Theft

Janet A. Dani, 51, of 616 Creekside Lane, Round Lake Park, was charged with retail theft Jan. 16 at Walmart, 555 E. Townline Road. Police said she left the store without paying for just over $15 worth of toiletries. She was released on a notice to appear in court Feb. 13.

Warrant

Charles F. Buell, 52, of 1252 Streamwood Lane, Vernon Hills, was arrested Jan. 16 on a Lake County warrant for failure to appear on a retail theft case. He was turned over to the Lake County Jail.
