Police Blotter: Domestic Battery, Fight Outside Tommy's Bar

The following arrest information was supplied by the Libertyville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Domestic Battery

Michael J. Mock, 26, 835 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, was charged with domestic battery on Nov. 26. Originally, police responded to Morgan’s Bar and Grill, 532 N. Milwaukee Ave., on a report of an underage female patron consuming alcohol. When officers arrived, they learned the female had left the bar. Witnesses told officers the female was in a fight outside the bar with someone thought to be her boyfriend. The man allegedly threw the woman to the ground and left the scene. Witnesses took the woman home in the area. While police were responding to the report, they heard an argument inside an apartment at 835. N. Milwaukee Ave. Officers made contact with the people inside and learned they were the same people from the earlier incident. Mock later was remanded to the Lake County Jail on a $20,000 cash bond, pending a Dec. 1 court date in Waukegan. The 19-year-old female was not charged with any crimes and later was released.

Idris S. Ibrahim, 34, 1515 Melrose Ave., Waukegan, was charged Nov. 21 with battery and assault after officers were called to Tommy’s Sports Bar, 137 Lake St., on a report of two people fighting. When officers arrived, only Ibrahim was there. Police say he appeared to be highly intoxicated and was uncooperative with officers. Witnesses say that Ibrahim and an unidentified male became involved in a verbal confrontation inside the bar and were asked to leave, which led to a physical confrontation outside. Police say Ibrahim was combative and pushed an officer during an interview. While being processed in the booking room, he also made several attempts to kick another officer. Ibrahim later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a Dec. 12 court date in Waukegan.

Janis R. Allen, 64, 1723 River Birch Way, Libertyville, was charged Nov. 21 with improper lane use, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence alcohol with a blood-alcohol content of more than .08. She later was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a Jan. 13, 2012, court date in Waukegan.

Sahquita Wallace, 24, 1801 West 14th St., North Chicago, was charged Nov. 22 with driving too fast for conditions, driving with a suspended driver’s license and arrested on a felony warrant for larceny through the Lake County Sheriff’s Department. She was issued a $1,500 personal recognizance bond for the traffic violations and transported to the Lake County Jail to be processed for the larceny warrant.
