Police Blotter: Library Window Damaged; Vehicle Stolen From Acura Dealership

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests and crimes from Nov. 2-10.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

Amy L. Hendrickson, 34, of 4445 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Nov. 8 near Milwaukee and Sunnyside Avenues. She was also cited for illegal transportation of alcohol and speeding. She was released on her drivers license and a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Dec. 6 court date.

Bernard C. Blowers, 39, of 269 Rouse, Mundelein, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, a Class 2 felony, on Nov. 10 near Park Avenue and East Hawley Street. He was also cited for operating an uninsured vehicle and speeding. He was transported to the Lake County Jail to await a bond hearing.

Damage to Property

A window at the Cook Memorial Library, 413 N. Milwaukee Ave., was reported damaged. Police said library personnel heard a loud bang in the children's department and found that the window was cracked by an unknown object. The damage was estimated at $6,000.

Disorderly Conduct

Benjerman D. Nofsinger, 21, of 106 Creekside Road, Longview, WA, was charged with disorderly conduct Nov. 2 on the 300 block of West Winchester Road. He was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending a Dec. 11 court date.

Sale of Tobacco to a Minor

Binny Mathew, 24, of 1400 Carol Unit A, Park Ridge, was charged with sale of tobacco to a minor Nov. 5 at BP, 113 N. Milwaukee Ave. Mathew was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending a Dec. 18 court date.

Vehicle Theft

A 2014 Acura RDX was reported stolen from Acura of Libertyville, 1602 S. Milwaukee Ave. Nov. 10. One of the vehicle's keys was also missing from the vehicle information folder.

Warrant

Robert Tomic, 45, of 1630 Easton, Gurnee, was arrested Nov. 7 on a Lake County warrant for violation of an order of protection. He was transported to the Lake County Jail.
