Police Blotter: Man Hits Traffic Signal Pole, Charged with DUI; Traffic Arrests

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests from July 17-21.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

Joshua P. Becker, 27, of 219 Appley, Libertyville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol July 18 near Milwaukee Avenue and Rockland Road. Police said he hit a traffic signal pole but was not injured. He was also cited for driving while license suspended, DUI over .08 and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 16 court date.

Chelsea O. Cole, 20, of 5741 Churchill, Libertyville, was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor July 19. Police were asked to help locate Cole, who had become separated from a group of friends after leaving a bar on the 100 block of East Cook Avenue. After she was located unharmed at 4 a.m., police said Cole admitted to using a family member's ID to enter the bar. She was released on a personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 14 court date.

Battery

Brandon Maurice Moore, 18, of 17854 W. Braewick, Gurnee, was charged with four counts of battery July 19 after police responded to a report of a fight in the parking lot of Days Inn, 1809 N. Milwaukee Ave. Police said four women who had been at a party at Days Inn reported being battered by Moore, who was located in a car in the parking lot. Moore was also cited for resisting a police officer. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a July 29 court date. A passenger in the car, Jaleel P. Friar, 19, of 1733 N. Ashley, Waukegan, was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Friar was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 14 court date. The four women involved sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment, police said.

Criminal Trespass

Conrad M. Dushek, 24, of 9 South Shore Lane, Lake Zurich, was charged with criminal trespass July 21 at Tommy's Sports Bar, 137 Lake St. Police were called to the bar on a report of a patron who had become verbally combative and refused to leave the premises. Dushek was also cited for obstructing justice, a Class 4 felony. He was also wanted on a Lake County warrant for domestic battery. He was transported to the Lake County Jail. 

Drugs

Jason A. Bishop, 32, of 516 S. Lake St., Mundelein, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis July 18 while police were patrolling the North Shore Bike Path. He was also cited for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 14 court date.

Traffic

Jose G. Correa, 24, of 1555 W. Hollywood, Chicago, was charged with not having a valid drivers license July 17 on Milwaukee Avenue near Golf Road. He was also cited for unlawful possession of cannabis and speeding. His passenger, Daniel Suacedo, 21, of 1509 W. Bryn Mawr, Chicago, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were released on $1,500 personal recognizance bonds pending an Aug. 21 court date.

Robert J. Rodriguez, 36, of 34174 Broomsedge, Round Lake, was charged with driving while license suspended July 18 on Cater Lane West of Route 21. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 16 court date. 

Magdaleno Ferral-Barradas, 45, of 4607 Orchard, Crystal Lake, was charged with driving while license canceled July 18 near First Street and Route 176. He was also cited for improper lane usage. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 21 court date.

Gerardo Lopez-Cisneros, 50, of 410 Hickory, Mundelein, was charged with not having a valid drivers license July 20 on Butterfield Road near St. William Drive. He was also cited for operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 21 court date.
