Police Blotter: Money Stolen From Cash Register; Alcohol Arrests

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests and crimes from Dec. 3-9.

Alcohol

Nelida Rodriguez, 31, of 1125 West 19 Place 2, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Dec. 3 on the 500 block of North Milwaukee Avenue. She was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 11 court date.

Kerstyn Kieffner, 22, of 546 Bobby Lane, Mundelein, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Dec. 5 near Route 176 and Woodland Avenue. She was also cited for improper lane usage, illegal transportation of open alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with only one headlight. She was released on her drivers license and a $1,000 cash bond pending a Jan. 11 court date.

John A. Herbert, 45, of 73 Fieldstone Drive, Lake Villa, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Dec. 9 near Milwaukee Avenue and Golf Road. He was also cited for DUI over .08, driving while license revoked and improper lane usage. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Dec. 28 court date.

Theft

About $693 in cash was taken from a cash register at the Liberty Restaurant, 419 S. Milwaukee Ave. on Dec. 5. Police are investigating.

Traffic

Jose A. Beltran, 37, of 4104 S. Montgomery, Chicago, was charged with driving while license suspended Dec. 4 near Milwaukee Avenue and Winchester Road. He was also cited for speeding. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 9 court date.

Leonardo Sedano Gomez, 38, of 110 Bellevue Drive, Round Lake Park, was charged with not having a valid drivers license Dec. 4 near Route 137 and Butterfield Road. He was also cited for speeding and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 9 court date.
