Police Blotter: Residential Burglaries, Theft

The following arrest information was supplied by the Libertyville and Lake Forest police departments. It does not indicate a conviction.

Four Residential Burglaries

Four residential burglaries occurred during the evening of Feb. 29 when occupants were not home.

Police say the homes were located a block north and south of Rockland Road and within a few blocks of Milwaukee Avenue.

Entry to the homes was made forcibly through windows or doors. Cash, jewelry, a laptop, a handgun, a camera and collector hockey cards were taken from the homes.

Two homes were along the 300 block of West Austin Avenue, one on the 600 block of East Lincoln Avenue and one on the 400 block of Hampton Terrace.

Police are investigating the case.

Theft from Scrap Metal Container

Police say a Mundelein man was seen removing items from a scrap metal container at Burgess Manufacturing, 1911 Industrial Drive, Libertyville.

Juan Garcia, 38, 48 S. Archer Ave., Mundelein, was charged Feb. 27 with theft under $300 and on a Lake County warrant for failure to appear on a driving under the influence charge.

He was released from Libertyville’s custody on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond but was transported to Lake County Jail, because he was unable to post 10 percent of the $20,000 bond on the Lake County warrant.

Driving Violation 

Edwardo L. Sajuan, 23, 1705 Partridge St., Waukegan, was charged Feb. 27 with driving while license suspended and speeding. He later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a March 14 court date in Mundelein.
