Police Blotter: Residential Burglary, Alcohol Arrests

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests and crimes from Oct. 23-28.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

Michael McDonald, 32, of 13475 West Elm St., Lake Bluff, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Oct. 25 on the 200 block of West Peterson Road. He was also cited for possession of cannabis, improper screeching of tires and improper lane use. He was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 16 court date.

Melinda C. Martin, 25, of 1301 Northwestern Ave. No. 127, Lake Forest, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Oct. 27 near Milwaukee and Appley Avenues. She was also cited for speeding and improper lane usage. She was released on a personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 30 court date.

Jason P. Pacheco, 29, of 5412 Washington No. 206, Kenosha, WI, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Oct. 28 on Milwaukee Avenue near Greentree Parkway. He was also cited for DUI over. 08 and speeding. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 30 court date.

Drugs

Sean A. Dohr, 23, of 1130 Loyola Drive, Libertyville, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis Oct. 23 on the 1100 block of St. William Drive. He was also cited for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 12 court date.

Traffic

Eliana Hernandez, 21, of 12361 W. 33rd St., Beach Park, was charged with driving while license suspended Oct. 27 on Milwaukee Avenue near Adler Park. She was also cited for operating an uninsured vehicle and having suspended registration due to non-insurance. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 14 court date.

Criminal Trespass to Property

Justin J. Blanco, 23, of 436 Spring Ridge Drive, Crystal Lake, was charged with criminal trespass to property Oct. 24 after a fight at Austin's Saloon & Eatery, 481 Peterson. Police said he was asked to leave the restaurant but then returned. He was also cited for resisting and obstructing a police officer. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a Nov. 19 court date.

Residential Burglary

John J. Hogan, 18, of 201 E. Cook Ave. No. 404, Libertyville, was charged with residential burglary Oct. 26. Police said the burglary occurred at a home on the 1200 block of Ashbury Lane, where several items - including a purse and sunglasses - were taken. Police said Hogan was arrested after the victim's credit card was used at a local gas station and officers recognized Hogan on the surveillance video. Hogan was also charged with burglary to auto and possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Lake County Jail to await bond court.

Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts

A business reported Oct. 26 that the catalytic converters on 10 Acura MDX vehicles were stolen while the vehicles were parked in the Acura lot, 1620 S. Milwaukee Ave. The catalytic converters were valued at $11,655.
