Police Blotter: Theft at Grave Site, Warrant Arrest

Theft at Grave Site

Three solar-powered lights and a wind chime were reported stolen from a grave site at Lakeside Cemetery, 500 Lake Street. The person who reported the theft told police the wind chimes were stolen on April 14 and the lights were taken on April 20. The value of the items was estimated at $85.

Warrant Arrest

On April 25, Christine Daley, 63, was arrested at the Candlewood Suites, 1100 N. Rt. 45, on an active warrant for retail theft. Daley was unable to post the $1,000 bond and was transported to the Lake County jail to await bond court.

Police arrested Mundelein resident Allyson Zimdars, 18, for failing to yield when exiting a private drive. The incident occurred in the 700 block of E. Park Ave. at approximately 10 p.m. on April 28. Zimdars was also charged with driving with a suspended license. She was later released after signing a $1,500 bond. Her court date is scheduled for May 25.

Minor Caught Drinking

On April 29, police found Uzair Naseer, 20, of the 900 block of N. Milwaukee, intoxicated in the lobby of an apartment complex at 375 W. Winchester Road at about 5:25 p.m. Police arrested and charged Naseer with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. After processing, he was released on a $1,500 pond and given a May 9 court date at the Lake County courthouse.
