Police Blotter: Theft at Walgreens, Driving Violations

The following arrest information was supplied by the Libertyville and Lake Forest police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Retail Theft

Raymond L. Fears, 42, 1718 13th St., Waukegan, was charged with retail theft Feb. 19. Police responded to a theft in progress at Walgreens, 1470 S. Milwaukee Ave., and met Fears as he exited the store; he was arrested. Store employees say they saw Fears placing items in his pockets. When arrested, 14 bottles of creams and lotions valued at $123 were found on him. Fears was taken into custody and later was transported to bond court, where he was issued a $25,000 bond pending a March 5 court date in Waukegan.

Driving Violations

David Frederic Remington, 42, 56 E. Laurel Ave., Lake Forest, was charged Feb. 19 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol content greater than .08, and speeding. He later was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a March 20 court date in Waukegan.

Angelica B. Reyes, 37, 1426 Clairmont Court, Vernon Hills, was charged Feb. 25 with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, changing lanes without signal and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She later was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a March 30 court date in Waukegan.

Kathy L. Regel, 47, 1517 Juliet Lane, Libertyville, was charged Feb. 26 with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use. She later was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued a March 30 court date in Waukegan.

Hugo Garcia-Rincon, 24, 719 E. Maple Ave., Mundelein, was charged Feb. 24 with driving without a valid driver’s license and disregarding a traffic-control device. He later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued a March 14 court date in Mundelein.

Minor Consumption of Alcohol

Timothy McCann, 19, 121 Third St., Libertyville, was charged with minor consumption of alcohol at 1:05 a.m. Feb. 17 near Sheridan and Rosemary roads. Lake Forest police officers observed McCann stumbling near the intersection. He appeared to have consumed alcohol and was found to be under the age of 21. When asked if he had consumed alcohol, he responded he had consumed "too much alcohol," police said. McCann was issued a trespass warning from Lake Forest College Security. Lake Forest police assigned McCann to an administrative hearing March 14 at Lake Forest City Hall.
