Police Blotter: Theft, DUI, Underage Drinking

The following arrest information was supplied by the Libertyville police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Theft at Arrow Plumbing

On June 3, police responded to a burglar alarm at Arrow Plumbing, 547 North Ave. Police found a work vehicle had been entered and copper fittings and tools valued at $100 stolen. The burglars attempted to flee but were stopped a short distance away when police blocked the roadway.

Kenosha resident Craig Gascoigne, 39, and Round Lake resident Allen Meyer, 42, were arrested and held overnight for bond hearing. The judge released Gascoigne on a $50,000 bond and Meyer was remanded on a $100,000 bond to the custody of the Lake County jail.

DUI

Police stopped Riverwoods resident Sara Ann Danielewicz, 46, in the 1000 block of South Milwaukee Avenue on June 3 when they saw her vehicle swerving out of its lane several times. Danielewicz was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. She was released on a $1,000 bond pending a June 24 court appearance.

Police stopped Mundelein resident Fausto Salazar-Lopez, 43, on Route 176 just east of Harding Avenue on June 5. Police saw him weaving in his lane of traffic and crossing over the double yellow center lane. Salazar-Lopez failed field sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid license, operating uninsured vehicle and improper lane usage. He was later released on a personal bond pending a June 24 court appearance.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

During a routine patrol of Charles Brown Park on May 31, police found Ian Tinley, 26, of the 1000 block of Dawes Street, had drug paraphernalia on him. Police charged Tinley with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. After process, he was released on a $120 bond, pending a July 13 court appearance.

Disorderly Conduct

Two 19-year-olds were charged with disorderly conduct after they were seen throwing an unknown liquid at people standing on the sidewalk outside a local restaurant in the 400 block of North Milwaukee.

On May 31, Joel Maluga, of the 700 block of Ascot Court, and Connor Krukowski, of the 100 block of Adler Drive were each issued a $120 bond pending a July 13 court appearance.

Underage Drinking

Three teens were arrested for underage drinking on June 2 after police saw them to be under the influence of alcohol at Shell gas station, 1207 W. Park Ave.

Devin Miller, 18, of French Court, Mundelein, Byron Sullivan, 19, of the 30000 block of North Lessley and Armando Aldana, Jr., 20, of the 300 block of North Second Street, had stopped at the Shell gas station, where police saw them to be under the influence of alcohol.

Driving with Suspended License

A routine vehicle records check by police revealed that Lake Bluff resident Joseph Palomo, 50, was driving with a suspended license. Police stopped him on Church Street just east of Milwaukee Avenue on June 5. He was charged with driving while license suspended and later released on a $1,500 cash bond. His court date is set for July 13.
