Police Blotter: Vehicle, Office Burglarized

The Libertyville Police Department reports crimes and arrests from July 9-14.

Warrant

Antonio Aguayo Gonzalez, 30, of 1616 Laporte Ave., Whiting, IN, was arrested July 9 on a Cook County warrant near Milwaukee Avenue and Hollister Drive. He was also cited for driving while license suspended, speeding and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released after posting $100 for the warrant, along with a $200 cash bond for his traffic charges pending an Aug. 8 court date.

Burglary

Someone broke into an office on the 1900 block of Industrial Drive sometime between 4 p.m. July 7 and 6:45 a.m. July 9, police said. The front glass door of the business was broken and two items β€” a $3,000 computer and a $600 Panasonic plasma television β€” were stolen.

A resident on the 100 block of West Austin Avenue reported that someone burglarized his vehicle sometime between 6:30 p.m. July 13 and noon July 14. Items stolen from the vehicle include credit cards, $210 in gift cards and a Ray-Ban sunglasses case containing $30 in loose change.

Traffic

Enzor Barbosa, 20, of 1034 Lenox, North Chicago, was charged with driving while license suspended July 10 near Routes 45 and 137. He was also cited for a muffler noise violation. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 3 court date.

Brett Lane, 40, of 25223 North Dante Drive, Hawthorn Woods, was charged with unlawful possession of a registration sticker July 13 near Route 45 and University Drive. He was also cited for having expired registration. He was held for a bond court hearing.

Alcohol

Julie Ann Underwood, 39, of 434 East Castlebar Court, Round Lake Beach, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol July 14 near West Winchester Road and Claridge Drive. She was also cited for DUI with a blood alcohol content over .08 and improper lane usage. She was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 3 court date.

Drugs

Alexandru Militaru, 22, of 1149 Miller Lane, Buffalo Grove, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis July 14 on the 400 block of South Milwaukee Avenue. He was also cited for speeding and improper lane usage. He was released on a $120 cash bond pending an Aug. 8 court date.
