These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Aggravated Battery

Joshua L. Herion, 33, of 512 Stevenson, Libertyville, was charged with three counts of felony aggravated battery Aug. 10 on the 100 block of Lake Street. Police said he approached an officer in an aggressive manor and shouted threats, and then was combative while in custody. He was also charged with three counts of misdemeanor battery, three counts of resisting a police officer and aggravated assault to a police officer. He was transported to the Lake County Jail for bond court.

Frances C. Morrison, 46, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Aug. 10 near West Cook Avenue and West Street. She was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, illegal transportation of alcohol and failure to notify secretary of state of address change. She was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Sept. 13 court date.

Ryan Cupal, 31, of 121 Johnson, Libertyville, was charged with battery Aug. 10 near Milwaukee Avenue and Lake Street. Police responded to a report of a person chasing another person. Cupal was also cited for resisting a police officer and assault. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Aug. 20 court date.

Burglary From Motor Vehicle

Three vehicles were burglarized between Aug. 7-9 while parked in the lot at the Adler Park Pool, 1500 N. Milwaukee Ave. The thefts occurred during the afternoon hours, police said. One of the vehicles was unlocked, while the other two were locked but had the windows open slightly. Items stolen from the vehicles include a purse containing two Samsung phones, a wristlet with a debit card that was later used to charge $725 and credit cards that were used to charge $590. Police are investigating.

Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle

Kevin D. Espinoza, 24, of 907 S. Jackson, Waukegan, was charged with unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle Aug. 7.
