Police Blotter: Vehicles Burglarized; Warrant Arrest

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests and crimes from Jan. 27 through Feb. 1.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Alcohol

Heather Satenstein, 33, of 1202 North Village Drive, Round Lake Beach, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Jan. 27 near Milwaukee Avenue and Rockland Road. She was also cited for DUI over .08 and speeding. She was released on her drivers license and a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a March 8 court date.

Tony J. Weitner, 44, of 301 Tree Circle, Vernon Hills, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Jan. 29 near Milwaukee Avenue and Artaius Parkway. He was also cited for improper lane usage. He was released on his drivers license and a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Feb. 13 court date.

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

Two vehicles were burglarized at X-Sport Fitness, 1163 S. Milwaukee Ave., sometime between 6:30 and 9:15 p.m. Jan. 29. The passenger window was shattered to gain access to one vehicle. A number of items were taken, including a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop, a faux snakeskin case, a Relica black and white checkered purse, a paisley print wallet, and a silver watch. A stereo and a gear shift knob were taken from an unlocked vehicle.

Traffic

Thomas C. Milove, 36, of 650 Westmoreland Drive Unit 104, Vernon Hills, was charged with driving while license revoked Feb. 1 near Route 176 and Butterfield Road. He was also cited for speeding and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Feb. 15 court date.

Unlawful Possession of Cannabis

Jeremy D. Oluma, 35, of 29713 126th St., Princeton, MN, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis following a complaint of a disturbance at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 2061 Shell Drive, on Jan. 30. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a March 21 court date.

Warrant

Daniel D. Ortiz, 31, of 638 S. Dilger Ave. Unit 12, Waukegan, was arrested Feb. 1 on a Livingston County warrant for failure to appear in court on a driving while suspended charge. He was released on $1,075 cash bond pending a March 4 court date.
