Police Blotter: Woman Allegedly Pulled Knife on Driver

The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests and crimes from April 20-28.

Alycen Hareas, 46, of 33124 N. Valley Road, Wildwood, was charged with aggravated assault April 26. Police said Hareas allegedly waved down a driver and asked for a ride to Grayslake, and then pulled out a knife and demanded a ride when the driver indicated he was not going that way. Police said the incident occurred on the 300 block of Peterson Road. Hareas was released on her own recognizance pending a June 19 court date.

Alcohol

Daniel R. Regel, 23, of 1517 Juliet Lane, Libertyville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol April 20 near Milwaukee Avenue and Condell Drive. He was also cited for DUI over .08 and improper lane usage. He was released on his drivers license and a $1,000 personal recognizance bond pending a May 17 court date.

Diego Fernando Cocom, 29, of 400 Manda, Wheeling, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol April 25 on the 800 block of South Milwaukee Avenue. He was also cited for DUI over .08, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured vehicle and failure to carry a drivers license. He was transported to the Lake County Jail for bond court.

Assault

Denzell Marcques Hicks, 21, of 4109 Greenleaf Unit 304, Park City, was charged with assault April 26 at Austin's Saloon, 481 Peterson Road. Police were called to the scene after Hicks allegedly attempted to strike a security employee and had an argument with two patrons. Hicks was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending a June 12 court date.

Burglary

A resident in the 1300 block of Oxford Court reported April 26 that someone took several items from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked overnight in the driveway. The items removed include a purse containing $20, a checkbook and a credit card. A wallet containing $20, a drivers license and credit cards was also taken.

Public Intoxication

Steven Priorello, 46, of 110 S. Butrick St., Waukegan, was charged with public intoxication April 28. Police said they were called to the 700 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, where they found Priorello laying on the ground and smelling of alcohol. He was released pending a May 15 court date.

Theft

A spare tire, wheel rim, tire hoist and spare tire cable were stolen from a vehicle at Libertyville Chevrolet. The theft was reported April 23, and the items were valued at $637.

Traffic

Patricia Roman-Castrejon, 41, of 27 W. Hammond St., Mundelein, was charged with not having a valid drivers license April 20 near Milwaukee Avenue and Church Street. She was also cited for operating an uninsured vehicle and disregarding a traffic control device. She was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending a May 15 court date.

Luis Alberto Diego Leon, 36, of 828 McIntosh Court, Prospect Heights, was charged with not having a valid drivers license April 21 near Milwaukee Avenue and Hurlburt Court. He was also cited for speeding. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a May 8 court date.

James S. Drichas, 55, of 4322 Buckingham Place, Gurnee, was charged with driving while license revoked April 24 on the 1300 block of North Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond pending a May 14 court date.

Silvia M. Werland, 38, of 1132 Park Terrace Drive, Rockford, was charged with driving while license suspended April 27 on the 1100 block of South Milwaukee Avenue. She was also cited for failure to display a drivers license and failure to secure a child passenger in a child safety seat. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending a June 12 court date.

Warrant

Kirill Y. Atnashkin, 20, of 551 W. Park Ave. Unit F, Libertyville, was arrested April 23 on a warrant for violation of an order of protection. He was released on $1,500 cash bond pending a May 5 court date.
