Police Blotter: Woman Arrested for Theft at Home

Warrant Arrest

On April 10, Police arrested Summer Scheithe, 24, of the 600 block of First Street, on an active warrant for theft at her home. She was taken into custody and transported to Lake County jail when she was unable to post bond.

Missing CDs, Wallet, Jackets

Police say a car parked in the back lot of Liberty Restaurant, 419 S. Milwaukee Ave. was burglarized sometime between April 5 and 7. Several CDs were stolen and the vehicle’s batter had been removed. The loss was estimated at $200.

On April 5, a patient at Lake County Dialysis, 918 S. Milwaukee Ave., reported that his brown wallet with a Cub logo was missing from his jacket, which had been hung in the lobby area. The wallet contained about $150 in cash, debit card and various identification cards.

A patron at the Sports Complex, 1950 N. Route 45, reported that her pink North Face jacket was taken from the locker room in the fitness area on April 8. Her car and work keys were inside the jacket’s pockets.
