Police Blotter: Man Steals Welder, Winch

Felony Theft
Joseph R. Johnson, 31, of 3308 N. Overhill, Chicago, was charted with felony theft Dec. 4. Police said he took a welder and a winch from his employer, Aamco Transmissions, 1406 N. Milwaukee Ave. The items were valued at $1,250. He was also cited for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing a peace officer.
Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Paul M. Murphy, 24, of 641 Barron, Grayslake, was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia Dec. 8 during a traffic stop. He was also cited for driving with only one headlight. He was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 15 court date.
