Police: Computers, Copy Machines Damaged in Break-in

The break-in occurred at the Illinois Secretary of State Office Drivers License Facility in Libertyville.

Numerous electronics, including computers and copy machines, were damaged by an unknown person or people at the Illinois Secretary of State Office Drivers License Facility in Libertyville.

According to a statement issued by the Libertyville Police Department, officers arrived on the scene at about 6:46 a.m. Tuesday and found that the front window of the building had been broken to gain access to the facility. The office is located at 342 Peterson Road.

"At this time, it is not known if anything was taken," police said in the statement. 

The Daily Herald reported that a bat or hammer may have been used to break the window.

The incident is under investigation.
