Residential Burglary, Theft at Napleton Ford, Shell

The following arrest information was supplied by the Libertyville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Residential Burglary

Police responded March 19 to the 300 block of Broadway on a residential burglary that had just occurred. The burglary victim reported that someone entered his home through an unlocked service door in his garage and stole a purse and laptop bag from inside his house. Someone also had rifled a vehicle parked inside his garage.

Police canvassed the area and located James B. Ellis, 20, on foot near Church and Second streets. Ellis was questioned about the burglary and found to be in possession of an alcoholic beverage.

Ellis was taken to the police department for further questions and items from the burglary, such as an iPod, and Japanese and U.S. currency, later were discovered both inside a bag he was carrying and on his person.

Ellis, 15446 W. Cherrywood Lane, Libertyville, was charged with residential burglary and possession of alcoholic beverage by a minor. He was remanded to the custody of the Lake County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.

Theft from Napleton Ford

Two sets of step bar running boards were removed from two F150 Ford trucks at Napleton Ford, 1010 S. Milwaukee Ave., on March 10 and March 12. The step bars were valued at about $1,300.

Theft at Shell Gas Station

Taylor P. Aull, 18, 700 E. Rockland Road, was charged March 18 with retail theft after he was identified as the person who stole a carton of cigarettes from Shell gas station, 1207 W. Park Ave. He was unable to make bail and was transported to Lake County Bond Court, where he was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond and issued an April 2 court date in Waukegan.

Woman Tries to Take Sandwiches from Delivery Truck

Police were called to Jimmy John’s restaurant, 1746 N. Milwaukee Ave., on a report of an intoxicated woman fighting with store employees on March 14.

Nancy S. Frane allegedly entered a delivery truck and tried to take sandwiches that were in the truck for delivery.

Frane, 48, 150 E. Winchester Road, Apt. A, Libertyville, was charged with battery and cause of bodily harm, two counts of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. She later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued an April 9 court date in Waukegan.

Possession of Cannabis

Patricia N. Weaver, 25, 115 McKinley Ave., Libertyville, was charged March 17 with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal transportation of alcohol, expired vehicle registration and operating vehicle with no proof of insurance. She later was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and issued an April 11 court date in Mundelein.

Driving Violations

Jason E. Resly, 34, 665 W. Liberty St., Wauconda, was charged March 18 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more, and improper lane use. He later was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond and issued an April 6 court date in Waukegan.

Eldar Abil-Zada, 50, 301 W. Park Ave., Libertyville, was charged March 12 with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, operating a vehicle with no proof of insurance, improper lane use and minimum speed restriction. He later was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

Jose A. Valencia, 30, 1907 County Drive, Apt. 102, Grayslake, was charged March 13 with driving without a valid driver’s license, operating a vehicle with no proof of insurance, failure to signal when required, and no side-view/rearview mirror.
