Two Libertyville Police Promoted to Lieutenant, Sergeant

Congratulations, Bill Kinast and Ed Sindles!

Two members of the Libertyville Police force were promoted to new posts at the Sept. 25 village board meeting.

Serving as mayor pro-tem, Trustee Donna Johnson offered a little background on each of the men before administering the oath of office.

Bill Kinast joined the Libertyville Police Department in June 1985. He was one of the original members of the Lake County Gang Task Force and served as a Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) officer. He has received commendations for his handling of complex, high-profile cases, Johnson said. He was promoted to sergeant in 2004.
