Libertyville, prepare to take a trip to Hawaii.

is set to open at the Libertyville Sports Complex on June 8. Trustees voted unanimously May 22 to approve a three-year lease agreement with Aloha Falls LLC to operate the Hawaiian-themed miniature golf course.

Ryan Tracy, who is in charge of operations for the miniature golf course project, said the facility will consist of two courses — one of which will be more challenging.

"We're really making it an experience for the whole family," said Tracy.

Tracy said he had been looking to put together an indoor miniature golf facility in Chicago but learned it would cost about $3 million. He had seen the shuttered miniature golf course at 1800 N. Route 45 and called the village to inquire about it in August 2011.

"And here we are," said Tracy.
