Civic Center Shuttle Service Discontinued

Due to low use of the Civic Center shuttle, Pace has recommended that the village discontinue the shuttle service.

Village trustees recently approved a local share agreement with Pace for the operation of the Dial-A-Ride Bus Service program, which serves senior citizens and people with disabilities.

The service operates within the villages of Libertyville and Mundelein, the Mundelein Park District and the area in and around Libertyville Township.

On Dec. 13, the Village Board approved the new agreement, which includes discontinuing the Civic Center shuttle, a pre-scheduled service, due to low use, according to village documents. The shuttle used to stop between 130 E. Cook Ave., 201 E. Cook Ave., Libertyville Civic Center and Cook Memorial Library.
