Coyote Sightings in Lake Co. Spur Warning Signs Along Trail

Safety warnings have been posted along one Lake County trail after coyotes were spotted along the trail and in nearby residential neighborhoods, according to the Daily Herald. 

The Lake County Forest Preserve District has posted warning signs along the Millennium Trail near Wauconda after two complaints surfaced from residents who spotted coyotes along the trail with both sightings reported north of Gossell Road, according to the article.

The Daily Herald reports the forest preserve district estimates there are four coyotes in that area and that the coyotes are following cottontail rabbits along the trail and some have strayed into residential neighborhoods.
