Former County Deputy Coroner Gets 7 Years For Molesting 14-Year-Old
Lindenhurst man pleads guilty to criminal sexual assault.
A former Lake County deputy coroner was sentenced to seven years in prison, Wednesday, after pleading guilty to sexually molesting a 14-year-old girl, according to the Daily Herald.
Robert Barrett, 42, of Lindenhurst started working for the coroner’s office in 2001. In January of 2009, police were called to Barrett’s home when a witness saw Barrett and the girl in an inappropriate situation, according to the Herald. Barrett resigned from the coroner’s office shortly after his arrest.
