Henry Yee Cantonese Restaurant Closed

The Chinese-restaurant surrendered its Class C liquor license.

, a Chinese restaurant in downtown Libertyville recently closed its doors, according to village documents.

Founded in 1967, the Chinese family-style restaurant recently ceased operation and surrendered its Class C liquor license. Patch could not reach the restaurant owners but a recording on the restaurant's phone states that it is currently "closed for remodeling and will be reopen in spring."

Village trustees approved amending an ordinance Jan. 10 to decrease the number of authorized Class C liquor licenses from six to five.
