Route 21 Widening Postponed Until Spring

Milwaukee Avenue construction project expected to be completed in winter of 2012.

The anticipated Route 21 widening construction project is expected to begin in spring of 2012, according to John Heinz, public works director for the Village of Libertyville.

According to Heinz, bids for the work will be opened in September, and he hopes that the work will be finished before the winter of 2012.

“We will make sure to utilize our website to communicate the status of the project,” said Village Trustee Donna Johnson, who also chairs the Streets Committee. “That would be a good way to update our business owners as well our residents.”
