Trustees Approve Purchase of New Trucks for Snow Removal

The Village of Libertyville is getting some new vehicles to help tackle snow removal this winter.

Trustees voted unanimously June 25 to purchase three replacement utility vehicles. These vehicles include: two trucks that will also be used as medium-sized snowplows during the winter, $25,849 and $38,566 from Napleton Ford; and a snowplow, $29,613 from Napleton Ford.

The old trucks will be taken for auction, therefore these purchases do not increase the village's fleet.

Trustees also agreed to award a $51,040 contract to Alliance Contractors, Inc., for the 2013 sidewalk replacement program.
