Trustees to Vote on Bolander Property Sale, Sports Complex Turf Replacement

The Libertyville Village Board is set to discuss a number of issues, from the potential sale of the Bolander Property to the replacement of artificial turf at the Libertyville Sports Complex, at its June 25 meeting.

Here's a look at what's on the agenda for the meeting:

  • The turf replacement project at the Sports Complex is a budgeted item that includes the replacement of two turf surfaces on the indoor soccer fields. The village's Parks and Recreation Committee recommended that the village board award a contract to FieldTurfUSA, Inc., for just over $167,352.
  • The board will consider accepting a Letter of Intent from Pathway Senior Living, LLC, for the purchase of the Bolander Property on Winchester Road. The property, which is located on Winchester Road, would be sold for $2.05 million. Trustees voted in September 2012 to sell the Bolander Property after village staff and Parks and Recreation Committee members determined that the property is underutilized.
  • Trustees may vote on a special use permit for Mickey Finn's to occupy more than 10,000 square feet in the Downtown Core Commercial District, along with a site plan for the business' move to 345 N. Milwaukee Ave. Mickey Finn's Owner Brian Grano announced the move last year.
  • The board will consider the purchase of two public works vehicles and a fire department vehicle.

The meeting will be held at 8 p.m. in the Village Hall board room.
