Village board trustees unanimously approved purchasing an additional 350 tons of salt for a total of $19,200 at Tuesday’s board meeting.

The additional salt will be used in case of adverse weather in March and April, and will be funded through the Motor Fuel Tax funds.

The Public Works department requested the additional salt purchase because they have used up all the salt they previously ordered.
