Libertyville to Offer Mobile App

Trustees approved the measure Tuesday night.

Here's a look at items addressed by Libertyville trustees at their meeting Tuesday night:

  • Trustees unanimously approved a contract with Constituent Outreach Consulting to create a mobile application, or app, for the village of Libertyville. The app will provide news alerts, a business directory and contact information. The app initially will be for iOS devices, including iPhones and iPads. The village's start-up cost for the app is $1,000, with an annual maintenance fee of $1,800.
  • Trustees agreed to enter into a consortium with the village of Gurnee and the city of North Chicago to seek bids for a crack-sealing project. Libertyville's 2012-13 budget includes $40,000 for crack sealing from the motor fuel tax fund. In previous years, the village participated in the Northwest Municipal Conference purchase cooperative for the crack-sealing project, but that practice has been discontinued.
