Weather to Determine if Libertyville Intersection Will Reopen Soon

The weather Tuesday and Wednesday will determine whether the intersection at Route 21 and Route 137 will be open in coming days.

On Friday, snow was removed from the intersection and old markings at the intersection were expected to be removed Monday, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation website.

If the weather permits, new markings are supposed to be placed on the roadway on Tuesday and Wednesday.

"If we have a window of good weather, the contractor will try to open both lanes of IL 21 north of the intersection following that," according to the IDOT website.
