Monday

7 p.m. The Plan Commission will hold a public hearing for Lake County Government Center at the Civic Center. At the , concerned residents packed Village Hall because they felt the county’s plans are far too vague.

7:30 p.m. State Rep. Carol Sente (D-Vernon Hills) is partnering with High School District 128 and Education Citizen’s Advisory Committee to hold a discussion on education reform in Illinois. The meeting will take place in the Studio Theater at Vernon Hills High School

Tuesday

10 a.m. The Parking Commission will meet at Village Hall.

4:00 p.m. The Marketing Committee will meet at Austin’s Saloon.

6:30 p.m. The Cook Memorial Public Library District will hold its board meeting at Aspen Drive Library.

7 p.m. Committee of the Whole will meet to continue board review of department budget requests for 211-12 budget year.

Wednesday

7:30 a.m. Economic Development Commission will meet at Village Hall.

11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Volunteers will be available at the Cook Park Library to help senior citizens and low-and middle-income taxpayers with tax preparations free of charge.  Bring a copy of last year’s federal and state tax return, and your Illinois Property Tax Bill or your parcel number. One hour appoints are available. Call 847-362-2330 to register.

4 p.m. The Historic Preservation Committee will meet at Village Hall.
