Area Universities Make Best Colleges List
U.S.News & World Report reviewed hundreds of colleges and universities nationwide, ranking the universities on a variety of factors, including tuition, acceptance rate, class sizes and more.
Two Chicago universities, the University of Chicago and Northwestern University, received high ranks on the U.S. News & World Report's best colleges list as top places to study in the nation.
U.S.News & World Report reviewed hundreds of colleges and universities nationwide. Schools are ranked on 16 different factors, including tuition, acceptance rates, class sizes, graduation rates, average debt of graduates and more, according to a U.S. News & World Report article.
Ranking among the top national universities is the University of Chicago at number five andNorthwestern University at number 12 on the list. Princeton University topped that list followed by Harvard University, ranked number 2 in the nation, and Yale University, ranked number 3 in the nation.

Domincan University was also ranked as the fourth best value school in the Midwest while Bradley University was ranked as the seventh best value school. Butler University was ranked as the second best regional school for "B" students in the Midwest.
