Butterfield Students Make Dresses to Help Girls Around the World

The school collected materials and made dresses for "Dress a Girl Around the World" project.

fifth-graders recently turned pillowcases and old shirts into dresses and sweat pants for "Dress a Girl Around the World" project. It was a Student Council project where the entire school collected material and put it together so that adults would letter sew together the dresses and pants.

The entire school voted on which cause to support and Dress A Girl won this year.

Hope 4 Women International's "Dress a Girl Around the World" campaign has people across America putting the dresses together to be delivered to people in need in other countries, as well as in areas in the United States that were hit by disasters, such as Joplin, Mo., which was hit by a tornado.
