CLC Addresses Concerns Over Radioactive Material in Lab

A College of Lake County board chairman this past week said the college has been looking into concerns over radioactive material in a geology lab's rock college and "it's not believed anyone has been exposed to health risks," according to the Daily Herald.

The concern was brought to the college's attention by earth science teacher Ryan Cumpston and CLC Federation of Teachers union President Rick Soller and access to the lab's preparation room, A226, has been restricted as consultants investigate the situation, according to the article.

The college will to test and clean the room before it reopens, according to the Daily Herald.
